For something fun on my birthday weekend, we went golfing at Golfers Paradise Club ! Unfortunately they don't accept companion cards, so I just paid for my support worker to play too (or they can watch, of course!). I hired the GTS booth designed for two to three players, which was fantastic. They also have cool rooms for parties, which is awesome. You basically hit balls at a virtual screen as a driving range, or you can play a round. The price includes clubs, balls, tees and you can play rain, hail or shine! We just used one type of club cause we had no idea what we were doing, which was fine - haha! It was so much fun, and we got excited being able to hit the ball even 20+ metres. Meanwhile, players next to us had their own golf clubs and were hitting 200+ metres! We thought, "Oh well, we're good comedic relief!" You can pay for coaching lessons as well if you're so inclined. Exercise that I found actually fun, and it's for any level of fitness! Bounce has a range of trampolines for a casual bounce or if you have some sick tricks you want to try on "The Wall". There was also an X-Park at our venue for thrill seekers wanting a challenge. There was a great play area for the little kids in the miniBOUNCE zone, as well as catering for adults on the huge amount of large trampolines. We spent most of our time on a large trampoline, then we braved a wall climb! Both my support worker and I tried it - OMG! Never again, hahaha. It was exhilarating though (and I am scared of heights). I was so proud of myself and my support worker. I climbed the one on the left at the front and she climbed the front right one. Looking for a day to connect with nature and animals? White Ridge Farm offers just that. If you're after some adventure, fun, and a chance to meet friendly animals to pet, this is a lovely farm experience. The farm has a camel, llamas, cows, goats, chickens, piglets and more! It even has a tractor and train ride, and a 9 hole putt putt course included with your ticket price. I bought feed as well (for a small fee) so I could spoil all the animals I could, and get lots of pats. The camel felt so gross, slobbery and wet, but I think it was my favourite! It made me laugh a lot. There are places to wash your hands too just so you know, which is great. The farm features an outdoor play area and picnic tables - perfect for a BYO lunch break between animal encounters. Love puzzles and looking for a challenge?! Red Lock Escape Rooms are so freaking awesome! They are located on the Sunshine Coast and at North Lakes. We went to the North Lakes one. Each escape room can be played with two - six players and you need to find clues and solve the puzzles in order to escape. They have five cool rooms to choose from and two new ones coming soon. The Wizard's Apprentice, Area 52, The Lost Jungle Gemstone, Game of Stones and Aunt Annie's Asylum are going at the moment. We chose the scariest looking room, the Asylum! Our room had a mix of locks and tech and is recommended for those 12yo and over. There are some creepy parts and jump scares! We excitedly searched for keys, racing against the clock and trying to solve the clues. Then getting so elated as we solved something, and got to keep going.
